We are currently recruiting for a Centre Manager (maternity Cover; September to June) to replace owner manager of service. We are a small service located on national school ground. We comprise of 2 classrooms but 4 different groups per day.
What we require from candidates:
- Have a minimum of QQI Level 7 in childcare, level 8 preferable
- Experience in crèche management (advantage but not essential)
- The ability to lead a team
- The ability to self-motivate and to meet targets and deadlines
- Knowledge of Aistear Framework and Siolta Standards
- Knowledge of all POBAL & DCYA schemes
- Knowledge of child led/ Emergent curriculum and documentation of the curriculum
- Ability to work in partnership with parents and staff keeping the child at the heart of what we do
- Team player
- Ensure a safe, secure and healthy environment for children, staff and visitors to the centre
- Strong communication skills
- Computer literate
- Full clean driving licence with access to own transport
Job Types: Full-time, Maternity cover September 2021 to June 2022
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Experience:
- Management an advantage but full training will be given (1st 2 months is with manager)
Education:
Qualification as per the DCEDIY Early Years Recognised Qualifications list
