Laois Partnership Company is the local development company for Co. Laois. They run a number of state and EU funded programmes that aim to promote social inclusion, community and rural development and increase employment and enterprise. As part of our service, we run a busy childcare centre and two afterschool services. We are seeking to recruit positions as below , based in Portlaoise.

Assistant Afterschool Coordinator

Permanent part-time (20hrs)

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

· Experience of working with children in a community setting

· Minimum QQI Level 6 qualification in Childcare

· Excellent knowledge of childcare policies & procedures

· Commitment to providing quality childcare

· Assistance in the planning and delivery of age-appropriate programmes of activities catering to the needs of the children

· Preparation of healthy snacks and understanding of good nutrition

· Interest in exploring new ways to involve parents in the activities of the centre

· Garda Vetting and Character references will be required for this position.
