Abbeyleix Women’s Development Group CLG T/A Jelly Tots Community Crèche and Playschool are seeking to recruit a Childcare Manager. We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated person whose role will be to provide a stimulating and nurturing environment, and whose leadership skills and passion for early childhood development will contribute to the on-going growth of Jelly Tots as a quality service.
Responsibility and Duties:
Responsibility for the developing delivering and managing the daily operations of the service in line with the Childcare Regulations 2016.
In-depth knowledge of the National Curriculums Aistear and Siolta and the value of incorporating of other curricula to promote holistic development of each individual.
Promotion of an inclusive practice a LINC qualification would be desirable.
Ability to ensure that all staff implement a quality curriculum in line with the principles of the Jelly Tots Curriculum which includes Montessori and Steiner and values the individual child and also values the natural learning environment and promotes outdoor activities for all age groups.
Effective management and motivation of staff in a quality led environment promoting a Continuous Professional Development Policy, Support and Supervision meetings, Monthly Staff Meetings.
Child protection qualification and the ability to implement Child Protection Policies in line with Children First guidelines .
The ideal manager will have experience of keeping accounts of income and expenditure to be carried out both weekly ,monthly and annually .
In Depth knowledge of the Hive registering children on all schemes, registering of the service on the Hive with Fees List and Annual Calendar.
Daily / Weekly management of the Hive and completing weekly returns.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have the following :
A Minimum of Level 6/ 7/8 in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent.
A minimum of five years experience working in the childcare sector and two years of these working in a management role.
An ability to liaise with parents guardians and families and build parental partnership.
Ability to line manage and supervise a team, supporting their continuous professional development.
Communicate effectively in a clear and professional manner at all times.
Manage and project occupancy levels ensuring that all payments of wages and equipment are within the budget of the service.
Have a full understanding of all guidelines as set out by the HSE, Tusla and Pobal.
This is a Full Time position 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday statutory salary and annual leave will apply.
