Learner Fund Graduate and Childminder Bursary 2024 is open to applications from 12 August to 27 September 2024.

The Learner Fund offers a bursary to early years educators who are working in the sector and have obtained a recognised Level 7/8/9 award.

There is also a bursary available for registered childminders who have completed a Level 5 or 6 award.

Please note that, to avail of the bursary, the course undertaken must be on the list of courses recognised by the Department.

Please note:

  • Application form to be completed in full and submitted to Laois County Childcare Committee by 27th September 2024 (no late applications will be accepted)
  • Supporting documentation (including photographic identification) must be provided with the application form
  • The transcript can only be accepted if it clearly shows that the full award has been achieved.
  • In lieu of graduating certificates, transcripts from the third level education institution can be accepted.
  • The transcripts must be in document/hard copy form and endorsed by the institution; screenshots of online student records cannot be accepted.
